The Knowledge Feed

Getting exactly the right information at the moment of a need is a fundamental necessity for outstanding performance. However, factory workers in particular have a big problem: There is a lot of pressure to be efficient and there is always very, very little time. Time that is lacking to search for relevant information or know-how to solve concrete problems - to the detriment of productivity and business results.

To resolve this conflict, we designed loop's Knowledge Feed. It is based on a simple premise: Analyze the current work situation of the employee, display the appropriate know-how and make it available in such a way that it can be directly applied in the - usually very stressful - work process.

Contexts EN.png

We identify and categorize the work situation using so-called contexts, which we can recognize thanks to various sensors and other measures. The contexts are matched with content that has already been marked accordingly and displayed directly in the feed. The most relevant (=the most appropriate) content is displayed at the top, less relevant content further down, but still accessible.

Traditional knowledge management solutions often suffer from the fact that retrieving relevant content becomes impractical, since their content categorization often follows a very abstract taxonomy. Not in loop, because in our Feed the real work situation is always decisive, which is connected comprehensibly (!) for users with the appropriate content. This also makes it easier to make minor adjustments if necessary in order to achieve even more optimal results.

By tapping on an element in the Knoweldge Feed, users open the corresponding content. If the content was created with loop, it is all the easier to consume and use. Of course, you can also make other content available in loop, such as official documentation for a component or an important video with safety instructions.

And if users still can't find a solution to the problem, they can submit a quick support request directly from the Knowledge Feed, which then gets assigned to those who can help out.

Ultimately, we try to ensure that users spend as little time as possible in loop and subordinate everything to the goal that the urgent question or problem can be solved as quickly as possible. This is what the Knowledge Feed stands for.
